Building Community
The Friends of the Levitt Pavilion Arlington are proud to introduce the vision of free outdoor concerts under the stars, at the new “Levitt Pavilion” in Downtown Arlington. This unique outdoor amphitheater will be the only one of its kind in Texas!
To provide this community gathering place, the City of Arlington is building "Founders Plaza" in the heart of the central business district, directly across the street from City Hall. The Levitt Pavilion would become the dynamic focal point of this central plaza.
Connecting People
This permanent amphitheater, surrounded by a beautiful civic space, will be a spectacular gift to Arlington families, creating a unique community gathering place. Because all fifty concerts will be free to the public, the Levitt Pavilion will engage a cross-section of the community. The Levitt Pavilion is a proven model in bringing people together in a safe, family-friendly environment to appreciate the arts and celebrate as a community.

History of the Levitt Pavilion
The Mortimer Levitt Foundation exists to provide funding to communities around the country that share the vision of providing free music under the stars. The first Levitt Pavilion was created in Westport, Connecticut over thirty years ago, which evolved and served as the model for the Foundation’s outreach to find more communities that could appreciate this incredible gift. The Levitt Pavilion opened in Pasadena, California in 2003, another Levitt Pavilion was created in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The next Levitt Pavilion will open in MacArthur Park in Los Angeles this summer, and another Levitt Pavilion will open in Memphis, Tennessee in Fall 2008. The Mortimer Levitt Foundation has visited Arlington, and shares our excitement about the Levitt Pavilion opening this year.
