From March 2nd through March 15th, Downtown Arlington transforms into the Downtown Pit Stop. As we celebrate the inaugural IndyCar weekend, we’re inviting you to the heart of the city—the ultimate destination to gear up and wind down. It’s your home base to refuel, tune up, and find exactly what you need. Whether you're looking for the best pre-race atmosphere or a place to celebrate the podium finish, Downtown is the place to be!
We’re keeping the district accessible so you can focus on the fun. While the excitement builds nearby, Downtown roads remain open, making our shops and restaurants easy to reach. We encourage visitors to make a "Dinner Pit Stop" at our local eateries or an "Arts Pit Stop" at our creative hubs. Enjoy our signature hospitality through exclusive race-themed activations, unique discounts, and themed treats. From relaxed outdoor dining to high-energy entertainment, Downtown is the primary stop on your way to the track.

Downtown Arlington Touch-A-Truck
Date & Time: Saturday March 14th 4pm-7pm
Location: 200 N. Mesquite St.
Bring the whole family downtown for our premier race weekend event! On Saturday, March 14th, from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, we’re hosting a free, family-friendly Touch a Truck experience. Located in the city parking lot just west of City Hall, kids of all ages can get up close with massive construction gear, emergency vehicles, and unique specialty trucks. Enjoy free face painting, balloon twisting, chalk art, crafts and more at this family-friendly event. Afterwards, head to one of our Downtown restaurants to refuel with food and drinks.
